Vintage Line Banjos

 All Vintage Line banjos have the classic features for which Cedar Mountain Banjos are best known.

All Vintage Line banjos include the following features:

Tone Rims:

Developed by Lo Gordon in 1998, the rosewood block construction "tone rims" are showcased under a hand rubbed  varnish finish.  The Vintage Line tone rims are fitted with Mahogany neck and dowel sticks.  the curly maple option includes neck, dowel stick, and rim cap.

Necks:

All necks in the Vintage Line include:

  • Hand rubbed vanish finish
  • Ebony fingerboard and peg head overlay
  • Two-way adjustable tone rod
  • Planetary tuners with either ebony or ivoroid knobs
  • Geared fifth string tuner
  • Bone nut
  • "Spike" on the fifth string "A" (7th fret)
  • Mother-of-pearl side dots
  • A "square" fifth string step and subtle volute at the peg head transition
Model Options

Dowel Stick

The neck and rim are joined by a dowel stick of the same wood and finish as the neck.

Hardware

Top of te line nickel-plated hardware, including no-knot tailpiece, die cast shoes with twenty-four hooks and nuts securing a grooved tension hoop are standard on all Vintage Line banjos.
